Peter Dutton just lost the election - goodbye Liberals!
Of course, there are still many twists in the tail before we reach election day, but in my opinion, the Liberal Party have just damaged the support of their base. The Liberals are in name only, they are not true Liberals.
We saw that in the most telling way with the disendorsement of Ben Britton in the seat of Whitlam this week.
For simply expressing an opinion, based off his lived experiences in the Australian military, Ben was discarded as the Liberal candidate for Whitlam. Supposedly, Ben’s comments about not wanting to see women on the front line did not align with the Party that proclaims to be a ‘broad church’ of ideas.
The ‘We Believe’ statement of Sir Robert Menzies states: ‘We believe in the great human freedoms; to worship; to think; to speak; to choose; to be ambitious; to be independent; to be industrious, to acquire skill, to seek and earn reward.’
Obviously, the Liberal Party do not want their candidates to think, speak or to choose to have an opinion. Especially an opinion that the majority of Australians would likely agree with. Who really wants to see our women die on the front line? It is bad enough that our men have to.
Furthermore, Ben’s comments pale in comparison to Bradfield Teal candidate, Nicolette Boele, who allegedly said to a 19-year-old hairdresser, “that was amazing and I didn’t even have sex with you”, after a hair wash. Boele is still campaigning, no harm, no foul.
Peter Dutton has shown cowardice by not standing by Ben Britton and his comments. Coupled by the backflip on his policy of ending working from home conditions for public servants only a day later, Dutton self-destructed in 48-hours.
This is not the leadership Australia needs, or wants. We need a leader with steel and conviction. We certainly do not need a leader who is competing with Albo on who is the most weak and incompetent.
Until next week, stay active and never back down!
Many thanks,
Steven Tripp

solutions for australia - with one nation nsw senate candidate warwick stacey:
This week I spoke with Warwick Stacey, who is standing for the Senate in New South Wales for One Nation.
Warwick is very impressive and I really enjoyed speaking with him, mainly due to his focus on solutions. It is so easy to identify the problems, but proposing policies that will address issues is what this Country needs.
