Commanding the Narrative Newsletter 51

Over the past few weeks and months on Commanding the Narrative, we have been exploring the impact that World War II had on Western Civilisation.

It all kicked off with my interview with Leigh Evans back on CtN94 (watch here), when I asked Leigh why the UK has seen such a decline in basic freedoms and Governance. Leigh’s answer was to theorise that England had lost too many of its strongest and best during World War II.

Without doubt, the destruction and upheaval that took place during the war (economic, structural, historical) would have had a significant impact. Not to mention the 10s of millions of people that died. On last week’s episode with Adam Zahra and Paul Vallejo (CtN112), we explored what the high death toll did to the West.

According the Grok, there were 85-105 million deaths during both World War I & II. Of these, 65-78 million deaths were white people - or 75-80% of total deaths.

This does not include the deaths that took place during the Great Depression, the Russian Revolution or Communist purges that took place before, between and after the wars.

What impact did such a decline in white population do to the West?

Not to mention, you would assume that the men going off to war to die would have been the Nationalistic types who saw it as their duty to fight for their country, their families, their culture and their way of life.

What types of men were left behind?

I do not know if there is a clear answer, but surely the upheaval of World War II has led to the decline we have seen in the West since.

Dr. Frank Salter (CtN108) and Prof. Eric Louw (CtN113) provided their theories in two important episodes.

Dr. Salter gave the history of eugenics and discussed how it reached its height during World War II, before its decline since. Importantly, Dr. Salter pointed out that while eugenics was viewed rightly as evil after the war, its stain did impact the World’s views towards genetics, ethnicity and Nationalism.

Prof. Louw presented a compelling argument that US President Franklin Roosevelt plotted to bring down the British Empire even before World War II had ended. Prof. Louw mapped the course of this anti-colonial sentiment that rose from the United States and went on to infect universities, education and journalism.

Without doubt, World War II has had an impact on the World, particularly the West. But I do not think we understand the full impact that it had on our culture, our thinking and how we view Western Civilisation.

It is certainly something I will continue to discuss and investigate.

Until next week, stay active and never back down!

Many thanks,

Steven Tripp

Commanding the Narrative - Eugenics – Have We Been Told the True History? – With Dr. Frank Salter:

Dr. Frank Salter was back on the podcast to give a revealing history of eugenics and how it developed in the lead up to World War II.

Dr. Salter is an Australian political scientist and researcher specializing in biosocial science, which integrates evolutionary biology, behavioural sciences, and social theory to analyse political and social phenomena, so his unique take challenged the mainstream view of eugenics and its origins.

DIGITAL ID: Should We Be Concerned? - With Ric Richardson:

With the ban on social media for Under 16s looming, I had Ric Richardson on the podcast to discuss Digital ID.

Ric is a notable expert in the digital space, having made his reputation by winning a lawsuit against Microsoft where he successfully claimed the big tech giant stole software activation code that he invented.

Ric is currently developing his own alternate age verification software, which could be a work around for proving your age online.

Commanding the Narrative - GOUGH WHITLAM DISMISSAL Was It Right to Sack Gough Whitlam? - With Dr. Christopher Reynolds:

With the 50th Anniversary of the Gough Whitlam Dismissal in November, I had Dr. Christopher Reynolds back on the show to discuss the history of this historic event.

Interestingly, Dr. Reynolds went back to the birth of our Constitution and explained why the Governor-General has the power to dissolve Parliament and therefore is able to bring down a Government.

Dr. Reynolds also revealed evidence he had just uncovered relating to the formation of our Constitution and the manipulations that politicians made to muddy the separation of powers principle.

Commanding the Narrative - Independent Media in Australia & the Truth About TNT Radio - With Mike Ryan:

I had a very good discussion with broadcaster Mike Ryan, who gave some valuable insights into his journey through the muddy waters of media.

Mike recounted his career in broadcasting and specifically discussed the rise and fall of TNT Radio. Mike talked about the challenges he has faced in media, along with his many accomplishments along the way.

Mike also gave his current views on Australia and the trajectory that the Western World is current on.

Commanding the Narrative - Pauline Hanson’s Burqa & Did the World Wars Doom Western Culture?:

Adam Zahra and Paul Vallejo were back on the podcast to discuss Pauline Hanson’s recent burqa stunt in the Senate and the rise of One Nation in recent polling.

Later, we discussed the current state of the West and whether the culture wars have taken the focus off issues important to everyday citizens.

We also explored the impact that the World Wars had on the mindset and culture of white populations and whether we are paying the price for that in the current political climate.

Commanding the Narrative - WORLD WAR II – Did America Dismantle the British Empire? – With Prof. Eric Louw:

In one of the most interesting and revealing podcasts I have done, I had Prof. Eric Louw present his argument that the United States had a significant role in dismantling the British Empire and European Colonialism.

Prof. Louw expanded upon his book: ‘Roots of the Pax Americana: Decolonisation, development, democratisation and trade, which examines how and why America built an informal trading empire and why the British Empire needed to be removed before a Pax Americana could be built.

Prof. Louw then went on to explain that while the Pax Americana succeeded in ending British and European Colonialism, the end result ultimately was a disaster for Western civilisation.

The protagonists - with mike ryan:

I had the opportunity to join the panel alongside Tim Hinchliffe and the great Tony Nikolic on Mike Ryan’s ‘The Protagonists’.

We had an in-depth and at times heated discussion on Digital ID and what it will mean for our freedoms in Australia.

Check it out and support Mike Ryan and The Protagonists!
