Commanding the Narrative - Update #53 - 'GIVE US A BREAK' - Rural Communities Smashed by Renewables

On Saturday, February 21, I joined Councillor Adam Zahra, Katy McCallum of Let's Rethink Renewables, Stuart Bonds and Sean Bell of One Nation and the local community of the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWOREZ) to tour the region and experience first-hand the reckless rollout of renewable energy projects throughout the area.

Witnessing the scale and impact of these projects made me angry. As I stood looking out over our beautiful Australian landscape, it made my blood boil that incompetent halfwits like Chris Bowen and Matt Keen are hell-bend on carpeting these areas with industrial-scale wind and solar projects.

“Enough. For goodness’ sake, we’ve had enough.”

This was the answer from Mike, a farmer north-west of Wellington in New South Wales, when I asked him what message he would send to people in the city who support renewable energy.

“We're getting absolutely smashed by noise and construction, and the damage to the environment alone is just massive”, he went on to say, as I interviewed him on his property which overlooks the Bodangora Wind project.
